About me
I am a coloured pencil artist based in Cheshire in the UK. I love to draw the everyday things that bring me joy. Inspiration for a picture could come from anything to putting on my trainers to go for a run, to a cup of coffee in a local cafe. I hope to capture detail, a sense of realism, and most importantly a feeling of joy within my work.
Coloured pencils
I work primarily with coloured pencils. They are my favourite medium because they allow me to gradually develop an image by applying many layers of colour, overlaying and blending different shades, and fine-tuning the details until the finished image comes together on the page.
I work with a combination of Caran D'Ache, Faber Castell, Derwent, Prismacolour, and Karisma pencils. Each has different properties and colour ranges and adding to my collection is definitely addictive!
My inspiration
Alongside my artwork I am a keen runner, pianist, animal lover, vegan, avid cake eater, and Morris dancer.
